Oilers defeat Northwood in 3 games (25-7, 25-15 and 25-15). Outside hitters Edgar Palos and Nick Iorfino each had 7 kills in the win. Middle blockers John Martin and Tyler Kulakowski combined for 7 kills in the match. Eric Bartlett added 10 digs for the Oilers. Huntington remains undefeated with a sweep over Trabuco Hills (25-14, 25-17, 25-19). Middle blocker Andrew Tenbrink led the Oilers with 10 kills. Nick Siegle added 8 kills and Libero Eric Bartlett had 11 digs. Beach rolls to 6-0 in league play with a sweep of Foothill (25-18, 25-16 and 25-20). Nick Iorfino and Nick Siegle both had 13 kills for Huntington. Tyler Kulakowski added 6 kills and 6 blocks. Libero Eric Bartlett had 17 digs and 2 aces for the Oilers. Setters Matt Butler and Ben Simons spilt setting duties dishing out a combined 38 assists. Huntington starts 5-0 in Sea View League play with a 3-0 sweep of Woodbridge (26-24, 25-15 and 25-16). Nick Siegle lead the Oilers with 15 kills and 3 aces. Andrew Tenbrink and Nick Iorfino both added 8 kills. Huntington setters Ben Simons and Matt Butler combined for 35 assists in the match. Oilers remain undefeated in Sea View league play with a pair of wins this week. On Tuesday, Huntington swept Northwood by scores of 25-17, 25-10 and 25-14. On Thursday, it was the Beach over El Toro in 3, by scores of 25-22, 25-11 and 25-12. In the El Toro match, Coach Pazanti played the entire roster and every hitter had at least one kill. Sophomore outside hitter Kyle Bailey led the Oilers with 6 kills while senior opposite hitter Nick Seigle added 5. Senior Tyler Kulakowski controlled the middle with 3 kills and 6 blocks. Setters Ben Simons, Dirk Cason and Matt Butler spread the ball around with a combined 29 assists. Huntington sweeps Trabuco by scores of 25-13, 25-23 and 25-15 to move to 2-0 in league play.. Most of the Oilers saw playing time in the match with 10 different players recording kills for Huntington. Nick Siegel had 8 kills while Nick Iorfino had 6. Eric Bartlett added 4 kills and 5 digs.
