Junior Varsity Team News/Results JV goes undefeated in Sea View League play with a 2 game sweep of Woodbridge 25-18 and 25-15. Oilers top El Toro in 2. Move to 9-0 in Sea View League play. Junior Varsity tops Trabuco in two, 25-13 and 15-7 to remain undefeated in league play. JV sweeps Foothill 25-22 and 25-19 to move to 6-0 in league play. Junior Varsity downs Woodbridge in 2. They complete the first half of the Sea View League season 5-0. J/V defeats Northwood in 3 by scores of 25-12 and 25-9. J/V is undefeated in Sea View League play. J/V sweeps Trabuco to move to 2-0 in Sea View League play. Scores were 25-7 and 25-9. J/V downs Foothill in a tough 3 game match. Scores were 23-25, 25-21 and 15-8. Huntington is 1-0 in Sea View League play.

Playoff results: Frosh sweep Woodbridge 25-19 and 25-21. Keeson Benn led the Oilers with 7 kills and Nick Tran added 4. Setter Jaxon Graf had 15 assists in the match. Huntington sweeps El Toro by scores of 25-10 and 25-20. F/S defeat Northwood in 3 19-25, 25-16 and 15-10. The win pushes Huntington to 6 and 2 in Sea View League play. Frosh/Soph bounce back with a sweep of Trabuco Hills 25-14 and 25-19. Freshman Middle Blocker Keesen Benn led Huntington with 6 kills . The Oilers also had 9 aces in the win. F/S lose a heatbreaker to Foothill in 3, 22-25, 25-17 and 17-15. Middle Blocker Hayden Polhamus led the Oilers with 9 kills. Russell Collins chipped in18 digs in the match. Frosh/Soph win again over Woodbridge by scores of 25-13 and 25-14. Setter Jaxon Graf found hitters Russell Collins and Nick Tran, and Hayden Polhamus early and often in the win. F/S finish the first half of league 4-1. F/S cruise to a two game win over El Toro. Scores were 25-17 and 25-8. Frosh/Soph down Northwood in two 26-24 and 25-19. F/S downs Trabuco in 2 25-19 and 25-9. Nick Tran led the Oilers with 9 kills and 3 aces. Hayden Polhamus added 7 kills out of the middle. Freshman Robert Comwell chipped in 3 kills and 14 assists. Frosh/Soph fall to Foothill in a close 3 game match (25-17, 19-25 and 12-15). Middle blocker Hayden Polhamus led the Oilers with 6 kills and Outside Hitter Nick Tran added 5. Setter Jaxon Graf added 14 assists for Huntington. F/S defeat Edison in 2, 25-13, 25-21. Outside hitter Russell Collins paced the Oilers with 5 kills and 5 digs. Middle Blocker Hayden Polhamus added 4 kills and 4 digs while Outside Hitter Nick Tran added 8 digs. Frosh/Soph edged by Newport 25-23 and 25-22. Hayden Polhamus led the Oilers with 6 kills. Huntington played great defense, combining for 15 digs. Oilers stay unbeaten Frosh/soph beat Mater Dei today in two games: 25-20 and 25-13. Coach Dennis Masuda said, “The Oilers played a great game and beat a solid Mater Dei team. Behind the solid play of Nick Tran (5 kills, 2 digs) and Jaxson Graf (12 assists, 2 aces), the Oilers put the Monarchs away.” Newport

Oilers Start Season with 2 Wins In the first week of the season, the Oiler Frosh/Soph team defeated Esperanza and Mission Viejo. Huntington won both matches in 2 games. |
